Would Love Survive if it’s ‘Un-officially’ Acknowledged?

This three-year-in-the-making film according to director, Cathy Garcia-Molina excites her due to the fact that this is the first time for Angel Locsin and John Lloyd Cruz to do a movie together after their team-up on a television series.

It took for a longer time to complete the filming of ‘UnOfficially Yours’ because of one obvious reason—Star Cinema has to team-up two of the country’s most-loved male and female celebrities of these times. Both stars were busy with their respective schedules and commitments, but finally, the movie will soon ‘officially’ open on February 15 in more than 100 theaters nationwide.

John Lloyd and Angel were having a great time during the press con for their latest and first film together titled 'UnOfficially Yours'.

Both leads have all praises for each other during the press conference held on the 14th floor of ELJ Building on Wednesday, February 1.

“Angel is indeed very sexy,” John Lloyd confirms after a question was thrown at him to describe his leading lady Angel.

“This is the John Lloyd’s most daring…” Angel says and chooses not to elaborate further.

Cruz plays Mackie Galvez, 28, a practicing dentist who is moving on from a long-term relationship break-up met Princess ‘Ces’ Bricenio (Locsin), the major broadsheet’s lifestyle senior reporter whom the former have been invited to write for the said publication.

He joins the cast and this is his first film with Star Cinema. Photograph from Starmometer.

There was actually an attraction when they both did it for a one-night stand, but Mackie’s attitude has sent a different signal to the latter, thus she starts to ward-off the former and defined what happened to them was simply a no-chance at all for a serious relationship.

Apart from being the first time to team-up on silver screen, this romantic comedy flick is Cathy Garcia-Molina’s first time to work with Angel for a movie, it is also the first time for Star Cinema to tackle such a sensitive theme, but is quite prevalent in the society, here and abroad.

Also, this is the first time for Edgar Allan Guzman, 2011 Cinemalaya’s best actor for new breed full-length category.

If Filipinos enjoyed the foreign romantic comedy films e.g. ‘How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days’, ‘No Strings Attached’, and ‘Friends with Benefits’—then this Filipino romantic comedy movie will surely tug the hearts of many.
