Stagers get 5 Nominations in 2012 BroadwayWorld.com Phils Awards


This latest production of PSF titled ‘JOE: A Filipino Rock’sical’ is pitting against other Filipino musicals in the said category. Photograph by Jory Rivera.

MANILA, Philippines – Philippine Stagers Foundation (PSF) or also known as the ‘Stagers’ garnered five nominations for five categories in the 2012 BroadwayWorld.com Philippines Awards.

Here are the categories, Stagers will be vying for against other nominatees:

Best Filipino Musical (New/Revival):
‘Joe: A Filipino Rock’sical’ (Philippine Stagers Foundation)

Best Filipino Play (New/Revival):
‘Ang Bangkay’ (Philippine Stagers Foundation)

Best Book, Lyrics for a Filipino Musical (New/Revival):
Vince Tañada for ‘Joe: A Filipino Rock’sical’ (Philippine Stagers Foundation)

Best Featured Actress (Play):
Cindy Liper for ‘Ang Bangkay’ (Philippine Stagers Foundation)

Best Lighting Design (Musical/Play):
Art Gabrentina for ‘Joe: The Filipino Rock’sical’ (Philippine Stagers Foundation)
