QUEZON CITY, Philippines – The longest-running, all-original Filipino musical of Philippine Stagers Foundation will have its adieu show on Saturday, March 16, 5pm at Cinema 9, SM North EDSA.

‘JOE: A Filipino Rock’sical’ earned three special awards in the 2012 BroadwayWorld.com Philippines Awards, including: Best Book, Lyrics for a Filipino Musical (New/Revival), Best Filipino Musical (New/Revival), and Best Lighting Design (Musical/Play). It was also nominated in 25th Aliw Awards for Patrick Libao’s performance as Jose Rizal.

This production is just one of the many successful productions this relatively young, but going strong theater company headed by Vince M. Tañada, Jeffrey Ambrosio, and Chris Lim.

Also, the group won the third place in Jollibee’s Yumbassadors.

The show opened in July 2012 and has 328 shows in total, combining its Metro Manila and provincial runs.

“We are happy that ‘JOE’ has truly defined what ‘ASTIIIG’ is all about,” Tañada said.

“Our shows have reached as far as Zamboanga, and that is one accomplishment we can claim–we broke all the obstacles of mounting a show even if it was a place that wasn’t ‘too’ familiar for all of us to go and making it happen.”
