ABS-CBN Channel 2 is known for ground-breaking projects, which includes the television series, based on Carlo J. Caparas’s creation of the same title ‘Dugong Buhay’, which just opened today, April 8, replacing the time slot of ‘Paraiso’.
This remake from a 1993 flick that once starred the father-and-son team-up of Ramon Revilla Sr. and Ramon ‘Bong’ Revilla Jr. has now its television version with Ejay Falcon on the lead, his biggest break ever. The afternoon televiewers are in for different afternoons treat—an action drama that gathers the country’s brightest and talented actors from the stage and the mainstream industry.
Caparas stated in a press conference held on Wednesday, April 3, “The television today is the next comics.
“Comics have long been considered a visual art and designed to entertain its readers for frame-by-frame storyline and so as the television.
“Nowadays, comics and television need to marry together,” he emphasized.
Nonie Buencamino, Sunshine Cruz, Christian Vasquez, Arjo Atayde, Pen Medina, Ana Capri, Lito Pimentel, Ketchup Eusebio, Yam Concepcion, Jed Montero, and Ronnie Quizon join the cast. Carlo Aquino, Ahron Villena, at Yen Santos will have their special participation as well.
Toto Natividad directs the series.
