The Virgin Labfest is Looking for Writing Fellows

Manila, Philippines, May 25, 2013–The Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP), which spearheads the Virgin Labfest, an annual festival of unpublished and unstaged original Filipino plays, is opening its doors for the ninth Virgin Labfest Writing Fellows Program.

The Virgin Labfest Writing Fellows Program is a two-week mentorship program, which focuses on the study and practice of dramatic writing for the stage. Successful candidates will take part in lectures, discussions, and workshops on playwriting and critiquing scripts. Fellows will also attend this year’s festival, and participate in the open talkback sessions with renowned playwrights, directors, and stage actors.
