Is One Man’s Heart Enough for Two Women?

To love is universal, but with the law of human and God—being married to two women at the same time is not just a struggle, but a crime. Such crime is Bigamy.

In the Philippines, as a predominantly Christian country, marital monogamy is morally accepted or observed and the act of entering into a marriage with one person while still legally married to another is a shame and a crime altogether. In western countries, such cases often happen and neither the first nor second spouse is aware of the other. This is perhaps what GMA-7 is trying to explore in its upcoming more explosive drama series titled—‘Ang Dalawang Mrs. Real’ that will feature the Diamond Star—Maricel Soriano as Milette Gonzales-Real who Is married to the dashing young actor Dingdong Dantes as Anthony Real, who is also married to another Mrs. Real in the person of Lovi Poe as Sheila Salazar-Real.

The main male character, Belter claims that he loves both Milette and Abegail. But how is it possible and how is it morally accepted in a society like ours? Is one heart that is capable of loving enough for two women to sustain their love for one man whom they both share marital ties? Having Soriano in the cast and paired with Dantes and with a third-party like Poe—will make this new series controversial after ‘My Husband’s Lover’. Will this beat the other channel’s top-rating show—‘The Legal Wife’?

Coney Reyes, Rodjun Cruz, Celeste Legaspi, Susan Africa, Robert Arevalo, Alessandra De Rossi, Jaime Fabregas, Tommy Abuel, Marc Abaya, and Dominic Roco are also part of the cast.

Kit Villanueva-Langit developed the story with writers Geng Delgado and Claudine Pineda under the creative headship of Suzette Doctolero. It will be directed by Andoy Ranay. ‘Ang Dalawang Mrs. Real’ is set to premiere on June 2, replacing ‘Rhodora X’ on the network’s (Telebabad) primetime slot.
