‘The Voice of the Philippines’ third placer—Janice Javier, the soul and R & B singer, who was coached by Apl.de.Ap will have her solo concert on July 4, Friday, 8pm at Teatrino Promenade Hall in Greenhills. Its concert title is ‘The VOICE of JANICE JAVIER Live in Concert’.
Prior to getting onstage for the concert, she recently sat down with selected bloggers at the MCA Music, Inc.’s headquarters at Raffles Corporate Center held on June 25, Wednesday.
Javier, who started singing at 13 years of age, is glad that finally she is realizing her dream of becoming a recording artist as she will be launching her self-titled album with 12 songs and two bonus tracks.
Singing really runs in her blood as she is the daughter of the second generation Hotdog keyboardist—Rolando Javier.
According to Janice, she never intended to really join the singing tilt, but it was the ‘need’ for her voice to be heard and let people know that even like her still has an equal opportunity to show the her countrymen what she really is made and capable of doing.
She owes a lot from her stint in ‘The Voice’ where she earned such instant recognition, but most of all—the respect to herself. Back in the competition, Javier admitted that it was Klarisse De Guzman was someone she considered as her closest rival for the Big Winner spot.
‘Janice Javier’, the album consists of ‘NIS’, ‘Never Knew Love (Until I Met You)’, ‘Heaven Knows’, ‘Why can’t it be?’, ‘The Greatest Love of All’, ‘Coming Home’, ‘Dust in the Wind’, ‘Breathe’ featuring Apl.de.Ap, ‘He’s Out of My Life’, ‘Imagine’, ‘I Believe I can Fly’, and ‘Chain of Fools’.
Myk Perez, the fourth placer in ‘The Voice’ will be Janice’s special guest.
