Premiering tomorrow, July 7 is the latest Koreanovela-based drama and local adaptation of ’49 Days’ and has its Philippine title ‘Pure Love’ will hit the television primetime with Alex Gonzaga and Yen Santos as the leads; portraying the roles of Diane Santos and Ysabel Espiritu, respectively.
The series will tackle about ‘life and death’, ‘relationships’, ‘friendships’, ‘family’, and even ‘pure love’.
‘Pure Love’ highlights Filipino family and its beliefs on ‘unsettled businesses’ of the departed loved ones. It tells the story of Diane, an optimistic rich girl who seems to have everything, and Ysabel, an average working girl who led a rather ‘meaningless’ life since her boyfriend died.

Veronica Velasco and Mikey Del Rosario are its directors. Other stars in the series are: Arron Villaflor, Arjo Atayde, Joseph Marco, Matt Evans, Yam Concepcion, and introducing Anna Luna.
Sunshine Cruz, John Arcilla, Ana Capri, Bart Guingona, Dante Ponce, and Shey Bustamante are also included in the cast.
Velasco, the director clarified that they had to make certain adjustments to appeal to its local televiewers since the Koreanovela was originally titled ’49 Days’ and was changed when it finally aired on Philippine TV with a new title ‘Pure Love’.
The soul of Diane has to find tears of pure love from three people who love her within 40 days in order for her to finally get her ‘eternal rest’. Diane will be assisted by ‘The Scheduler’ to be played by Evans.
