After being chosen as one of the Masculados-in-training when the Search concluded in September this year and in the conclusion of the sixth-day workshops on voice and dance, the 20-year-old Bulaqueño, Fernando Zomera successfully made it to be one of the newest members of the 12-year-old all-male sing-and-dance group.
Productions56 Incorporated president and general manager, the master director Maryo J. Delos Reyes along with the voice coach Anthony Salazar and choreographer Donald Balbuena unanimously chose the six-foot-tall and well-chiseled built Zomera over other Search winners.
The decision was based on one choice; Zomera’s strong personality as well as his impressive performance during the six-day workshops [both voice and dance]. Fernando stood out according to the evaluations of the two coaches. He also fits in the vision of being a Masculado.
“I am so glad that they chose me. This is my way of helping my mother and be able to continue my college education as well,” shared Fernando.
Zomera is from Paombong, Bulacan, who pursued a vocational course on computer literacy. He is also a first year HRM student at La Consolacion-Malolos. He had to quit due to financial constraints. He will be joining the newly-introduced member, the Filipino-Austrian David Karell and rest of the Masculados—Robin Robel, Enrico Mofar, Ozu Ong, Orlando Sol, and Nico Cordova. Lexter Lazaro graduates as member early next year.
The Masculados are preparing for their 13th anniversary concert in February 2015 titled ‘Dumadagundong na 13’. For more updates, visit and like their facebook page.
