One of the hunk members of the longest-running all-male sing-and-dance group called the ‘Masculados’—Orlando Sol is featured in 2015 Virgin Labfest’s Set B play titled ‘Huling Huli’, which is written by Herlyn Alegre and directed by filmmaker Lawrence Fajardo.
The play is about a middle-aged widow torn between keeping her principles and becoming like the women in her village who have no other means of supporting themselves but offering sexual favors to fishermen in exchange for the chance to buy the fish they caught and resell in the market. Sol is paired with theater veteran and award-winning actress Angeline Kanapi.
Orlando is no stranger to stage as he has appeared in productions from Dulaang UP’s ‘Shock Value’ and PETA’s ‘Care Divas’, respectively.
‘Huling Huli’ still has two more runs slated on Friday and Saturday, July 10 and 11 at 8pm and 3pm, respectively, at Tanghalang Huseng Batute, Cultural Center of the Philippines.
