‘Panandalian’ is the overarching theme for the university-wide theater guild of University of Santo Tomas’ 38th Season, which will feature the first prize winner at the 2014 Don Carlos Palanca Memorial Awards for one-act play in Filipino titled ‘Traje de Boda’ written by Maria Kristine Roxas and ‘Huling Ensayo Para Sa Iyo’ by Niel de Mesa at the Tan Yan Kee Auditorium on August 25 to 26, 2015 with shows at 1pm, 3pm and 5pm; and on August 27, 2015 with shows at 1pm, 3pm, 5pm and 7pm.
In Roxas’ ‘Traje de Boda’—it presents an all-female performers set in a bridal shower scene, delivered in a bold and comical forum. The friends will share struggles in marriage, resolving issues with their husbands, and reassessing the role of being a woman. De Mesa’s ‘Huling Ensayo’ treats the audience with Nagmamahal’s speech, as he rehearses for the most momentous night in his life and in their life as a couple to prove his love regardless of the assurance of the presence of his beloved.
Admission to the drama-comedy twinbill production is free and will be directed by JC Ribuyaco. For inquiries, contact Czerina by sending an SMS or call at +639053922231.
