Marion Aunor sings with Michael Pangilinan in a Fund-Raising Concert

On Sunday, March 6, the #RomanticMovieThemeSongPrincessMarion Aunor performed with the #HaranaPrinceMichael Pangilinan for a fund-raising concert titled ‘M & M: #Pumapagibig’ at Zirkho on Tomas Morato Avenue, Quezon City. Part of the proceeds of the show will be given to an institution, a half-way house in Ermita called ‘Bahay Aruga’.

“It is not the first time that I helped the institution. We feel the need to give more that is why we have to mount this show,” Marion said.

Aunor who popularized the songs—‘Free Fall into Love’ and the one that hooked the moviegoers even more in the love scene of ‘Always Be My Maybe’ romantic-comedy flick, her song—‘How Can I’.

In her search to re-inventing herself and in reaching out to a larger audience, she has plans of creating more songs and doing more shows n the future and the show that she just had with Pangilinan is just one of those.

Productions56’s Orlando Sol, Xyruz Cruz topbill ‘Shakespeare in Parade and the Filipino Electorate’

Masculados member—Orlando Sol and co-talent of Productions56—Xyruz Cruz star in a Fringe Benefits Productions play based on the original texts of Rlando S. Tinio titled ‘Shakespeare in Parade and the Filipino Electorate’, a deconstruction under the direction of Aurora D. Yumol, starts on Sunday, March 6 at Teresa Yuchengco Auditorium, De La Salle University-Manila Campus, Taft Avenue. It will have two runs on Sunday, March 6 at 11am and 3pm, respectively.

Sol will play Macbeth while Cruz is Romeo opposite GMA-6 Artist and Starstruck Finalist—Analyn Barro as Juliet. Both talents who were discovered and have been harnessed by internationally-acclaimed TV and film master director—Maryo J. Delos Reyes are no strangers to acting on stage. In 2015, Sol was featured in a Virgin Labfest play titled—‘Huling Huli’, which was directed by filmmaker Lawrence Fajardo; while Cruz, also debuted in a stage production last year via of the same production group and play–‘Katwiran na May Katwiran’, also directed by Aurora Yumol.

The two artists play vital roles as they appear as two opposing parties, the crises of the story, centered in political upheaval swings to the love scene-cum-balcony scene of Romeo and Juliet, as Macbeth received prophesies of the Three Furies that he leads an uprising Prince of Scotland as he led an uprising. And Macbeth did not escape death himself nor thus Romeo. Witness how Shakespeare interrogates his ‘imagined’ characters.

Veteran actress, theater director, a three-time Palanca awardee—Aurora Yumul is the artistic director of Fringe Bnefits Production and directs the deconstruction made possible by De La Salle University Medical Center-Dasmariñas City. It is also sponsored by 1771 Group of Restaurants, Make You Nanay Proud Foundation, Alliance of Concerned Teachers (ACT) Teacher’s Partylist, Office of the City Manila Mayor, Le Heim Music Center and Councilor Yul Servo.

Yul Servo celebrates his birthday with his constituents

On Saturday, February 27, in front of Pedro Guevarra Elementary School in Binondo Manila, Councilor Yul Servo Nieto of the third congressional district of the said City mounted an event dubbed as ‘Araw Ko, Alay Ko: The Big Night’. The event was designed to celebrate the former actor turned politician’s 39th birthday.

Yul, who spent his childhood days in the previously mentioned public school where it stands on Madrid Street corner San Fernando Street—is also where he graduated from his elementary education. The event is one of his ways of giving back to his constituents for allowing him the chance to serve his people especially those who needed his services the most.

Celebrities from three major networks graced the event to share the joy and the triumph of Nieto as councilor for three terms since his election back in 2007.

The Voice Kids Season 2 third placer under FamiLea—Esang de Torres did a song number. GMA Artists like Ash Ortega, James Teng and Elyson de Dios of Star Struck Season 2, Miggs Cuaderno, Katrina Halili and the Teen Drama PrinceRuru Madrid; TV5 artists—Mark Neumann and Akihiro Blanco of ‘Happy Truck HapPinas’ were also present to join the celebration. Servo’s co-talents in Productons56 IncorporatedWill Ashley, Joshua Tecson, Teen Force 56,Xyruz Cruz and The Masculados were in full support as well. The versatile actress Ana Capri performed a special number for the Councilor.

The affair also served as a venue for his announcement of his political plans this coming summer elections in May. He will be running as a congressman, which opens new chapter in his life as a public servant.
