Sophia Bianca: Pursuing Her Personal Legend?

Growing up, Sophia Bianca De Vera‘s companion was the karaoke as her family loves to sing together as their past time and even in parties.

Back then, she describes herself as shy and stiff whenever she gets to perform in an audience. But her voice coach, Annie Quintos of the singing group called The Company.

De Vera chose to celebrate her debut, not in a lavish party but held a meet-and-greet with the selected members of the press to launch her single In Love’s Eyes instead.  The medals she bagged at the World Championships of Performing Arts (WCOPA) last year were the validation of her pursuing a singing career.

She considers singing as her Personal Legend. A Personal Legend is about pursuing someone’s desire and passion to live a great purpose.

The universe conspired with Sophia Bianca as she met Grammy awardee, Gerard McMann and who now known as G Tom Mac. The latter composed her single. The single is a validation of all the things that she has worked on since her first contest on GMA-7‘s Eat Bulaga segment Music Hero.

As a young artist, she aspires to achieve the success of two artists Alicia Keys and as well as Asia’s Nightingale Lani Misalucha.

On July 11, Sophia Bianca flies back to the US to perform at the opening of WCOPA in Los Angeles County. Also, she will be shooting her music video in New York as well.

David Licauco-Shaira Diaz in a ‘kilig-worthy’ Romantic-Comedy flick ‘Because I Love You’

When Netizens noticed the chemistry between David Licauco and Shaira Diaz via Magpakailanman’s Nakawin Natin Ang Bawat Sandali episode in July 2018, which had a replay on June 8 this year, ALV Films thought of putting the two together in a millennial twist to the rich boy-poor girl love story in Because I Love You. The romantic-comedy flick is set to open tomorrow, June 26 in cinemas nationwide.

It will be directed by veteran and multi-awarded director Joel Lamangan.

The Kapuso chinito heartthrob Licauso plays Rael, the cool, quiet and reserved executive and heir to his family’s business empire. He comes from a conservative upbringing which shaped him into stereotyped thinking, including matters of the heart.

Diaz, on the other hand, is Summer, the tenacious, street-smart firefighter who takes pride in pursuing her departed dad’s heroic legacy, much to the chagrin of her mom who wishes her to be a flight attendant or to be a beauty queen.

Teaming up the two in a wacky and romantic themed movie is a response to the pair figured as one of the top trending topics on social media. Their ‘kilig-worthy’ pair was heightened all the more during their guesting for One Hugot Away, GMA-7’s Web-TV project in March.

According to Mesa management, Dantes is the ideal face for the restaurant. As an actor, he has a wholesome image and is a family man. He’s married of Kapuso star Marian Rivera, and a father to two kids Maria Letizia, (3) and Jose Sixto IV, (two-month-old). He suits well for the restaurant’s image.

Having Dantes as the new endorser, it is part of the restaurant’s goal to achieve 100 stores in 2020. AS of this date, Mesa has 65 branches nationwide.

Dantes looks forward to opening his own Mesa branch. It will be the restaurant’s 68th branch soon.
