Vice Ganda continues to spread Beauty as a vice?

To most people, the word ‘vice’ has a negative connotation or definition. It means a bad habit or even described as a horse, which probably the singer-comedian-host-turned entrepreneur Vice Ganda has capitalized on his successful showbiz career as well as his Vice Cosmetics that made a Guiness World Record-holder.

In September of this year, Vice Ganda or Jose Marie Borja Viceral in real life mounted the Ganda for All Music Festival at the Smart Araneta Coliseum and together with his fans and an estimated of 6,900 people in attendance—they broke a world-record for the largest gathering of people applying lipstick at the same time. Two months later, on November 18, Vice Ganda opened the flagship store of his Vice Cosmetics at Market Market.

During the opening, thousands of people witnessed and flocked to the store and the comedian and TV host, who recently won the 4th RAWR Awards as Favorite TV Host did not fail to draw such a huge crowd inside the said mall.

Maymay Entrata and Kisses Delavin: Vice Cosmetics’ Faces.

When asked who chose Maymay Entrata and Kisses Delavin as the official face of Vice Cosmetics,  he said, “The very reason that the two young female stars were chosen—it’s because of the two fit the face of today’s young girls.”

He described the two young female stars; after their Pinoy Big Brother: Lucky 7 edition stints, they both perfectly represent the young ladies of this present generation. Entrata from a simple beginnings and who possesses that ‘morena’ (brown) complexion and Delavin who was raised in a more comfortable lifestyle and has that flawless and fair skin could very well gravitate with the beauty brand’s intended market.

Vice Ganda is glowing these days.

Due to Vice Ganda’s rumored special friendship with Calvin Abueva, a Filipino professional basketball player for the Phoenix Fuel Masters of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA)—the question was thrown at him if there is a chance that what they both have at the moment will blossom into something deeper.

The host of Ganda Gabi Vice was quick to reply, “We are happy.” Nothing followed and the press fell silent and didn’t pursue any longer.

Severe

Phenom

What’s notable is that, Abueva’s grandmother is fond of him. Whenever he and Calvin go on a date, he usually wears either of the two of his favorites—Severe, a Good Vibes Matte Lipstick and Phenom, a Phenomenal Liquid Lipstick.

After the TV host and entrepreneur underwent a depression, which made him want to stop doing what loves to do; but through his two friends—Regine Velasquez and Ogie Alcasid, he realized that’s it’s ‘the devil’ that was playing with his mind, so that it will bring him down and make him think negative. Since then, he fought and vowed to always stay positive. Vice Cosmetics is one outlet and his way of reaching out to people especially to women, those gay men who are being discriminated by society to choose to live and stay positive in and out, which translates to being beautiful.

He added that the tagline of Vice Cosmetics suggested such concept, “Kaya nga ‘Ganda for All’ (It means beauty for all regardless of whoever the person is).”
