QUEZON CITY, Philippines – On Wednesday, April 23 at the Third District Coffee Shop, Cornerstone Concerts, the events arm of Cornerstone Talent Management Incorporated recently held a press conference for its upcoming one-of-a-kind, two-night back-to-back concerts titled—‘Jazzified’ and ‘Rock & Soul’.
The event was well-attended by both mainstream and online media. Each of the artists sat down for pocket interviews with the press.
The two separate concerts are set on May 16, Friday and May 17, Saturday at the Music Museum in Greenhills, San Juan.
Four of the country’s promising and talented performers as well as products of ABS-CBN Channel 2’s talent competitions—‘The Voice of the Philippines’, ‘X-Factor Philippines’, and ‘Pilipinas Got Talent’ are the featured artists in the said shows. They are Marrki Stroem, KZ Tandingan, Thor, and Jovit Baldovino.
On the first night, Stroem and Tandingan are teamed-up to perform center stage via ‘Jazzified’. Inspired from Stroem’s upcoming second album, which has the same title, will showcase the soulful and jazzy singing styles of both artists with no frills, no big production number gimmickry, just great music with a fusion of all musical genres with an interesting twist of singing. Expect how the impressive and powerful vocals of both singers will enchant and entertain their audience.
Stroem is Marcello Angelo Stroem in real life is a Filipino-Norwegian and was a finalist in ABS-CBN’s Pilipinas Got Talent Season 1 in 2010. From being shy and simple folks, Thor and Baldovino have taken off to becoming more daring and confident individual performers. Manila, Philippines, January 24, 2014–Rachelle Ann Go, 27-year-old concert and stage artist, is staging a concert titled “Miss Rachelle: The Send-off Concert” on Saturday, February 22, 8 p.m. at Meralco Theatre before she flies to London to revive the role of Gigi in the 25th anniversary production of Cameron Mackintosh’s “Miss Saigon.”
The concert, whose repertoire includes chill and acoustic songs, will also celebrate Go’s 10th anniversary as a performer.
Did she ever think of playing a role in “Miss Saigon”?
When Go first saw a production of “Miss Saigon” in Canada several years ago, she told herself that she wanted to be part of the production. With that desire in her heart, she decided to try her luck when “Miss Saigon” held a highly publicized tryout in Manila in November 2012.

I am glad to have met Rachelle Ann Go during her photo shoot for her upcoming send-off concert this February.
I am sharing my latest article published on ABS-CBNNews.com.
MANILA, Philippines – Singer-actress Rachelle Ann Go is mounting a one-night concert before flying off to London to play the role of Gigi in the restaging of the hit musical “Miss Saigon.”
Dubbed as “Miss Rachelle: The Send-off Concert,” the show will be held on February 22, 8 p.m., at the Meralco Theater.
The concert will also commemorate Go’s 10th anniversary in the entertainment industry.
In a recent interview with the singer during a photo shoot visit, she said the concert is her way of saying goodbye since she will be away for at least a year.
Go, 27, will be leaving in March and to start the two months of rehearsals for “Miss Saigon,” which is slated to open in May.
She admitted that she never thought of being cast as the hardened bar girl Gigi, originally played by Filipina actress Isay Alvarez, when she joined the Manila auditions for the musical last year.
“When I first received the e-mail informing me about my inclusion in the show and me being offered as Gigi, it was quite surreal,” she confessed. “I waited for like 10 months before the official announcement of the cast members was revealed.”
