Since he left the Philippines, the stars continued to align with this dedicated original Pilipino music (OPM) artist—Garth Garcia to still live his dreams of being a singer as he has been blessed with opportunities to sing his heart out in events and other special occasions.
Today, Garcia is one of the most sought-after performer in Los Angeles and he has been invited to perform in various cities. Recently, he performed live with Prince of Teleserye Theme Somgs—Bryan Termulo on December 21 at Aztig Grill in West Covina.
Also, his Christmas song title Nilisan nang Pasko did hit in number four spot in OPM Christmas countdown and reached 500k streams on Spotify.
Come January 2019, he will be releasing a duet with the Modern Jukebox Queen—Sheryn Regis of the Star in a Million fame and a former Star Magic artist who also sang the theme songs of television hit series, the likes of Marina, Krystala, Kampanerang Kuba, Gulong ng Palad, Maria Flordeluna and Prinsesa ng Banyera.
Garth is the epitome of what Jonas Salk have once said that the greatest for doing something is the opportunity to doing more. He is not the type who waits for success to come to him, but he is willing to make things happen for himself.
Early next year, the OPM’s Pop Sentimental Heartthrob is set to have three concerts, first in Modesto on January 20, next in San Francisco on January 24, and a Valentine concert with US-based artists as well.
OPM-Pop singer Garth Garcia who sang the radio hit songs ‘You’re the One’ and ‘Ikaw ang Mahal’ (both which have made it to the Top 10 in all radio stations) is nominated for the category of ‘Revival Song of the Year’ in MOR Pinoy Music Awards (MORPMA) 2014, happening today at SM Mall of Asia Arena at 5pm.
Garcia first competed in Star in a Million on ABS-CBN. After the competition, he was part of Direk Maryo J. Delos Reyes’s Productions56 boy band named ‘RomBoys’. When he’s not singing, he also models.
Despite his singing capabilities, he is simply thankful for the nomination he earned alongside with Richard Yap, Enrique Gil, Ron Henley, and G2B boys.
“Hindi na ako nagi-expect na manalo pa sa parangal dahil ang ma-nominate ka lang at mahilera sa mga sikat na mang-aawit at actor ay ok na ok na sa akin,” shares Garth.
Apart from singing, he also writes songs; drawing inspirations from real experiences and challenges as well. Today, he is busy promoting his new single titled ‘Dagat Ka, Lupa Ako’, which is based on the love between a mermaid and a man from a TV soap series. His song enjoyed top three in the daily hitlist in a radio station and the music video is played on MYX and MTV, too.
The annual awards night that honors the greatness of original Pilipino music (OPM) will be graced by My Only Radio (MOR) ambassadors Daniel Padilla, Vice Ganda, and other OPM stars, namely, Parokya ni Edgar, Bugoy Drilon, Christian Bautista, Darryl Shy, Edward Benosa, Eurika, Jireh Lim, Kathryn Bernardo, Klarisse de Guzman, KZ Tandingan, Liezel Garcia, Noel Cabangon, and Sam Concepcion.
