One of Kapamilya’s prized jewels—the King of Hearts, an actor and recording artist Daniel Padilla as well as the real and onscreen partner of Kathryn Bernardo of the KathNiel tandem recently signed an endorsement contract with Shawarma Shack.

On its 20th anniversary celebration, ABS-CBN’s The Filipino Channel (TFC) together with the Philippine Center that coincides with its 30th anniversary as well—both spotlighted Europe’s biggest extravaganza of Filipino celebrities via London Barrio Fiesta 2014 on July 19 and 20 at the Apps Court Farm near Hampton Court Palace in London, United Kingdom (UK).
TFC 20 Ambassador Gary V, comedienne Pokwang, heartthrobs—Sam Milby, Rayver Cruz, Enchong Dee, Jessy Mendiola and Shaina Magdayao, together with the love teams of JulQuen and KathNiel showcased what has been dubbed as ‘Galing ng Filipino’.
ABS-CBN Corporation president and chief operating officer Charo Santos–Concio gyrated along Valenciano’s dance tunes. She was also joined by other ABS-CBN executives including Star Cinema managing director Malou Santos and ABS-CBN regional news bureau chief Danny Buenafe.
On the other hand, the Philippine Centre is headed by hermano mayor Joseph Parinas has been organizing the said ‘Barrio Fiesta’ in partnership with TFC in Europe, headed by Garcia, since 2010 to bring together all Filipinos and Filipinos-at-heart in UK and nearby countries, for a two-day event that replicates the elements of a Philippine fiesta, as its name connotes.
Apart from the celebrity showcase, it also offered Filipino activities such as games and promos and treats, including meet-and-greets and a food fiesta, which are a usual scene in barrio fiestas back in the Philippines, which probably have been missed by most kababayans now based in UK.
The said event is not just all fun, but it is also a venue for Filipinos to contribute and support Filipino causes. The Philippine Centre turned over to Santos-Concio a donation of GBP3,000 for ABS-CBN Foundation’s Sagip Kapamilya, a program dedicated to relief operations during calamities and rehabilitation projects.
